Hurricane Bertha

There’s a yellow weather alert covering Britain as hurricane Bertha crosses the whole of Britain. We’ve had lovely weather up to now and I have a camping trip to south wales in Pembrokeshire planned.

This morning the news is already showing roads hit by flash flooding and cars straded. I’m having flash backs of when I lost my tent in Brean (not far from Bristol) during 50mph winds. My worry doesn’t end there. My daughters are on holiday on the east coast of Britain (Skegness) so I’m hoping they will be safe from floods.

Looking out of my window I see blue sky and sunny weather. It’s hard to believe the weather will change to gale force 10 winds in a few hours.
